The beauty of Glen Esk in Angus is hard to imagine. Clothed in heather, rolling mountains fill the eye. Red deer and grouse are more numerous than humans. Peace is everywhere. If you like the sound of this, if you are keen on walking, cycling or exploring spectacular scenery, then the Bothy at Colmeallie is for you – snug, remote and with unspoilt views over this rugged and picturesque glen.

The Bothy is small but perfectly formed. It was once a shepherd’s bothy and, while it enjoys all modern conveniences, retains much of its original charm. The interior is comfortable and well-furnished, all on one floor. There is a double bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and sitting room complete with ceiling beams and woodburning stove.
